What can I expect prior to treatment?
There are no complicated pretreatment rituals with this procedure. Prior to the actual skin resurfacing treatment you will be asked to remove your make-up or moisturizers. Your physician will review and assist with all pretreatment requirements. Numbing creams may sometimes be suggested to reduce any discomfort.
How many treatments do I need?
You may only require 1 treatment in order to achieve the desired results. Each patient's conditions and needs vary. Some conditions may require more treatments than others. What are the side effects?
Erythema (redness of skin); the laser-treated areas have a distinctive redness representing increased blood flow due to a new growth of the superficial tissue and collagen. Inflammation or swelling, blistering, hyperpigmentation and in rare cases scarring.
